OS名:Windows98 パソコン名: ソフト名: 場違いな質問でしたら、すいません。 最近、デバイスドライバ等のドライバについて、 素朴な疑問が生まれましたので、お尋ねしようと思いました。 よく、プリンタ等を接続すると、 プリンタドライバも入れないと駄目ですよね。 なぜ、プリンタに内蔵されてないのでしょうか? また、HPの様に、パソコンとプリンタを製造しているメーカーなら、 せめて、同社製のものは、簡単に接続できるべきではないでしょうか? ドライバの役割についても、はっきりと理解できていません。 どなたか、教えて頂きたいです。 質問の一部に対するお答えでも、意見でも、構いませんので、 考えをお聞かせ下さい。 よろしくお願い致します。

OS名:Windows98 パソコン名:DOS/V ソフト名: 中古のGT-5000WINPというエプソンのスキャナーを買ってadaptecの AHA-2920CというSCSIボードにつないでいるですがスキャナーがまったく 認識されずに困っています。 ボード自体は認識されるのでスキャナーの接続が悪いのかと思ったのですが PCの電源を入れるとスキャナーのヘッドが動くのでデータの送受信は出来ている と思われます。 IDナンバー、ターミネータの設定も間違っていません。 念のためそれぞれのメーカーサイトで適応する動作環境を調べましたがこちらも問 題無く満たしていました。 ひとつ気になったのがエプソンサイトのQ&Aにあった、推奨ボード、推奨ケーブル 以外の場合は、正常に動作しない可能性があります。 という記述くらいです。 何か他に考えられる原因がありましたら是非お教え下さい。 環境は自作DOS/VにWIN98です。よろしくお願いします。
