WindowsXPにLinuxをインストールしようと思ってます。Re dHatかVineにしようと思っています。 起動方法なのですが、Vineの本にはWindowsNT/2000では デュアルブートは危ないので起動ディスクから起動した方が良いと書いてあ ります。 WindowsXPではどうなのでしょうか? ぼくとしては、Linuxの起動ディスクを入れて電源を入れるとLinu xが立ち上がり、Linuxの起動ディスクを入れないで電源を入れるとW indowsXPが立ち上がる方が安全でいいように思うのですが・・・。 どなたか教えて下さい。

OS名:Windows98 パソコン名:自作機 ソフト名: はじめまして。 自分では手に負えないミスをしてしまったので質問に来させて頂きました。 状況: ハードディスクを1つだけのパーティションにしてwin98を 使っていましたが、Linuxを試そうと思いPARTITION-ITを使って ハードディスクを区切り、Linuxをインストールして、 <Linux-Swap><Linux-Native><FAT32>となりました。 その後、win上からNorton-Anti Viriusを掛けた際に、 誤ってブートレコードの状態をパーティションを区切る前に 戻してしまいました。 当然、起動しなくなりました。 winの救済ディスク等で起動して、パーティションの状態を fdiskで見てみたら100%<FAT32>になっていました。 ドライブ自体にはアクセスできるのですが(C:\> は出るって事です)、 そこから先は何をやっても<中止><リトライ><失敗>の反応しか返しません。 こうなってしまったハードディスクのデータは復活させられるもの なのでしょうか? 私的には駄目だろうと思っていますが、「可能である」場合を考えて、 そのハードディスクには手を加えていません。 「不可能」なら再利用するためにフォーマットをし

OS名:Linux パソコン名:Vaio PCG-SR9M/K ソフト名:Red Hat Linux 9 お世話になります。 このたびRed Hat Linux 9がリリースされたということで 早速インストールしたところ、うまくマウントしてくれません。 mount /mnt/cdrom とやったところ mount: /etc/fstab や /etc/mtab 内に /mnt/cdrom を見つけられません というメッセージが表示されます。 CD-ROMはSony PCGA-CDRW52で、インストールはこのCD-ROMドライブで行いました。 /etc/fstab /etc/mtabを見ると確かにCD-ROMに関する記述はありませんでしたので、 ここに何か記述すれば良いのだろうということは分かるのですが、 どのような追記すればいいのか、いろいろ調べても分かりませんでした。 どなたかご存知の方がいましたら教えて頂けないでしょうか。 よろしくお願いします。
